The three-day Aflatoxin Detection, Testing and Control training in Dodoma, Tanzania, concluded today with a learning visit to a grain handling facility, followed by a review and evaluation of the training.
The learning visit gave participants an opportunity to observe grain handling practices in a practical setting and relate them to the knowledge and approaches covered throughout the training.
During the opening session, Mr. Anotolinus Kabyemela, Quality Assurance Officer at WRRB, shared insights into grain handling practices within their warehouses, creating an opportunity for participants to learn from each other’s grain handling practices.
Over the three days, participants strengthened their knowledge and practical understanding of aflatoxin detection, testing and control, with a focus on safer grain handling, food safety and effective management of contamination risks across the grain value chain.
